Sitges Vintage Car Rally 2015
It is an event that marks the return of Spring in Sitges and the kick off to a season of events and festivals. Celebrating the automotive roaring twenties in style, this unique event is one of the highlights of the Sitges cultural calendar.
The International Barcelona to Sitges Vintage Car Rally will take place on the 21st and 22nd of March. There are several changes to the format of the event this year. Now in its fifty seventh year, the event has been held annually since 1959 featuring vehicles manufactured prior to 1928.
The area by La Fragata in front of the main church will be the epicentre of festivities.
The cars will leave Barcelona from Sant Jaume square at 10.30am on Sunday 22nd. Cars will arrive in Sitges port by 12.30pm
- 12:00 Arrival of the first car to the port of Aiguadolç of Sitges .
- 12:30 Departure from the port Aiguadolç
- 12:30 to 13:00 h. Sitges parade through the streets:
Avenida Port d’Aiguadolç, Emerencià Roig i Raventos, Balmins Avenue, Port Alegre, Rafael Llopart, Jesus, Cap de la Vila Square, Parellades, Bonaire, Paseo de la Ribera until Calipolis, Paseo de la Ribera (ground part), La Fragata.
Approximately 65 cars are expected to take part in this year’s event.
On Saturday the 21st of March a special exhibition of super luxury vehicles will take place on the seafront from 10: 00h – 11: 00h and 13h – 17h. The competition for the best car and best engine sound will take place between 13: 00h – 14: 30h
