The beaches of the Aiguadolç (at Sitges Marina, ) La Barra, La Ribera, Les Botigues and San Sebastián have received the blue flag distinction, a recognition that rewards environmental management, water quality and beach safety.
La Ribera, is one of the busiest beaches in Sitges. Located right in the centre of town, the beach offers sun loungers, beach bars, water sport activities and is just steps from some great restaurants.
The gay beach in the town centre is just a little beyond La Ribera beach towards Pic Nic Beach restaurant. Hotels with views of the beach include the recently refurbished Kalma (formerly La Nina), the Hotel Calipolis and the Hotel Santa Maria.

Two of the beaches awarded the blue flag lay behind the church, often overlooked by visitors to the town. Yes, there is much more to Sitges than the centre.
San Sebastian is a charming beach just a short walk from the church. The beach is quite large and the atmosphere is far more relaxed than the beaches in the centre of Sitges. The Hotel San Sebastian Playa offers views of the beach and makes a perfect base for exploring Sitges.
Further out of town, the beach at the Sitges Port, Aiguadolc is a well-kept secret and one of our favourite escapes. Located just at short taxi drive from the centre of Sitges, the secluded beach is bordered by the mountains and the sea. The hotel is perfect for “a day at the beach” with the nearby Port offering some great restaurants for lunch and dinner! Try El Tiburon for some great seafood and meat dishes.
Balmins Beach is one of the most popular gay beaches in Sitges.
The storms of 2020 had not been kind to Balmins beach, however the beaches are undergoing renovations and most of the sand is being replenished before the start of the Summer high season.
Balmins is one of the most popular gay beaches in Sitges and has a great beach chiringuito serving cool drinks and delicious Mojitos. The beach is located about 20 minutes walk from the centre of town.
Apartments in this area are much sought after. Sitges Mar Blava and Cala Balmins Sea View are two great options. Don;t miss the chance to dine outdoors at La Caleta restaurant.
The Melia Hotel is also a good option for those who want to be close to Balmins gay beach. It has two great pools, superior rooms and great service.
