The intrepid roving photographer, Jorge Pereira was out on the streets of Sitges capturing some of the magical moments during Sitges Corpus Festival 2016.
Each year, two weeks after Pentacost, the streets of Sitges are transformed with carpets of flowers for the annual Corpus Christi procession and festival. The event is one of the most beautiful of all the festivals celebrated in Sitges. The work begins on the carpets on the Saturday evening and culminates with the procession of the giants to the church on the Sunday evening. Photos courtesy of Jorge Pereira.
