Mirrors
Desperate to pull his life together, Carson (Kiefer Sutherland) takes a job as a night watchman at the burned-out ruins of the Mayflower department store, which was destroyed by a massive fire that devoured numerous innocent lives. As Carson patrols the eerie, charred remains of the store, he begins to notice something sinister about the ornate mirrors that adorn the Mayflower walls.
City of Ember
For generations, the people of the City of Ember have flourished in an amazing world of glittering lights–underground. Built as a refuge for humanity and powered by a massive generator, this City will only sustain for 200 years. Now Ember is falling into darkness as the generator fails….
Tickets for both films are on sale here.

Crowds hit Sitges for the 40th Film Festival
/in Events, Sitges Film Festival/by keith@gaysitgesguide.comSitges felt more like it was in the middle of August than October this weekend as crowds from around the world flocked to see some of the 13 world premieres being screened at the 40th International Film Festival.
The event, which celebrates the sci-fi, horror and fantasy genre, is one of the biggest of its kind in the world. This year sees previews of the digitally remastered Blade Runner which celebrates its 25th anniversary. Its one of the best and most original Sci-fi movies ever made. You can preview the movie trailer below.
The event lasts for the entire week! The main hub is the Hotel Melia which looks more like Hollywood than Sitges!
With all the movies on screen its hard to get to see them all, but our favourite has to be “Stardust” starring Robert De Niro, Michelle Pfeiffer,Claire Danes and Sienna Miller. Watch the movie trailer below.

Celebrity Visitor Hits Sitges
/in Events, Sitges Film Festival/by keith@gaysitgesguide.comWell boys, wouldn't you like that in your bed! Good news.. he's in Sitges.. .bad news… hes Straight…. but hey.. that never stopped a gay boy!
We haven't had much in the way of eye candy at this year's Sitges Film Festival. Some of the movies have been spectacular, but not so many actors as previous years. All that changed this weekend when Ian Somerhalder dropped in to say hello to his film buddies. He was here to promote his latest movie, Pulse. If you don't know Ian, most Spanish people will recognise him as Boone Carlyle from the hit TV series Lost.
The movie, from the brilliant mind of Wes Craven, is a tecnho-horror…if there is such a genre. Its an ok movie. When their computer hacker friend accidentally channels a mysterious wireless signal, a group of co-eds rally to stop a terrifying evil from taking over the world. The best bits are definitely watchin Ian on screen!
