Perro Total held their annual Sitges Doggie Fashion Show on Saturday.

The dogs made their way through the Streets of Sitges and all in aid of a local charity that cares for orphaned dogs! It was great to meet so many interesting people…and their pets!

Gay Beach Party Sitges 2008

The Gay Beach Party schedule has been announced for Summer 2008. Its the biggest line up yet and promises some spectacular parties. Those of you who attended last year will remember the amazing foam parties together with the wonderful location that is L’Atlantida.

The schedule for 2008 is as follows:

Sitges Doggie Fashion Show 2008

Perro Total

The second Annual Sitges Fashion Show for Dogs takes place this Saturday at Perro Total, from 12pm. The route begins at C. Damain and then continues on Mayor, Nou, Psg Maritimo, Mayo, Parrellades and culminating at Cap De La Vila.

The event will showcase the latest fashion for dogs in Sitges. If you’ve ever been to Sitges before, then you will know that after the stud boyfriend… a pet pooch is next on the list of must-haves! The event is also sponsoring a well know local Sitges charity that helps animals in distress.

Cine Cafe Presents – Superman 2

Superman 2

Many of you may have seen Superman 2 many times before – either on the big screen or at home. But how many of you know about its very troubled history. Originally large parts of Superman 2 were filmed back to back with the first film, by the same director, Richard Donner. However, after disagreements with the producers, Donner was fired before the second movie was finished and Richard Lester was bought in.

In “geek” mythology the Donner Cut of Superman 2 was like a holy grail, often talked about thought out of reach and never to be seen. Now thanks to DVD sales, Warner Bros. financed the finishing of this alternate version of the movie and Cine Cafe have it for you this week, on Saturday.

Its a very different film with a completely different opening (no bomb on the Eiffel Tower) and a vastly different ending. Come and judge for yourself if you think the producers made the right choice 28 years ago!!!

St. George’s Day, or the Day of the Book and the Rose is a big event in Catalunya. It celebrates the feast of St.George (the Patron Saint of Catalunya). For further information visit this resource page put together by a school in BCN.
