From the 5th of December to the 23rd of December, the Sitges Christmas Art Fair takes place at the Mercat Vell… (thats at the top of C.Major by the Town Council Offices). Perfect timing for the perfect Christmas Present.
Tables at Monroes are booking up fast this Christmas. They still have some limited availability for their Christmas Party Nights so to avoid disappointment we suggest you book today and celebrate Christmas in Style…with some unusual “Fun and Frolics”…. The Barcelona Christmas Fair – “Feria de Santa Llúcia” opens on the 29th of November right in front of Barcelona Cathedral in the Old Town.
Its full of traditional Christmas Gifts and Decorations… some of which are quite strange. Check out Spain’s Christmas Traditions in our previous Christmas Posts here.
As for Sitges… well the Christmas lights and the Christmas Tree are due to be switched on this weekend.. We’ll keep you updated during the week.
Parrots Restaurant is hosting a special New Years Eve Dinner on the 31st of December 2008. An 8 course menu, including all wines, teas and coffee is priced at EUR 95 per person. Remember New Years Eve in Sitges is a special occasion. Its important to book your restaurant table early as all of the bars will close from 10pm until after 12am.

Given the night that was in it..we did try to get to as many bars as possible… but it was a late one!
Most of the bars were open until 6am as they had extended hours given the special nature of the day.

Parrots Restaurant reopens on the 14th of December until the 7th of January and has a special menu for New Year’s Eve. Reservations are advisable.
Today is Constitution Day so its a day off… Saturday is also a Holiday in Spain… so what to do with your time in Sitges? Well…. go shopping! Note, not all of the shops will be open, but the ones catering to tourists will be open for some time during the day or late evening.
