We know its early, but a lot of people don’t realise how early Carnival is next year. It takes place at the end of January and with many gay events happening the week before, its time you made sure you had your accommodation booked, so as to avoid any disappointment.

Goodbye Carnival

Sitges said goodbye to carnival in true style on Wednesday night.

The King’s funeral procession made its way through the town and onto the beach where a spectacular show took place.

The Egyptian theme was continued right to the very end as the obelisks were set on fire and the stage burned away. Then a spectacular fireworks display brought proceedings to a close.

Grand Parade – Sitges Carnival – Tuesday from 9pm

Sitges Carnival Parade

The second Grand Parade takes place this Tuesday at 9pm. The route is as follows: Cap de la Vila, Parellades, Bonaire, Passeig de la Ribera, Fragata, Passeig de la Ribera (terra-Picnic), Espanya, Plaça Espanya, Espalter, St.Francesc, Cap de la Vila.

Floats from nearby towns will also be attending so the parade will be even more spectacular than Sunday.. if that was even possible! Here are some of our favourite shots from Sunday.

Tonight, Oreks has a night of prizes for Carnival. Expect lots of glamour with stylish boys dressing up to the nines and high-heels everywhere! Its Carnival after all.

Grand Parade – Sitges Carnival – Sunday from 9pm

Sitges Parade

The first of the Grand Parades takes place this Sunday at 9pm. The route is as follows: Cap de la Vila, Parellades, Bonaire, Passeig de la Ribera, Fragata, Passeig de la Ribera (terra-Picnic), Espanya, Plaça Espanya, Espalter, St.Francesc, Cap de la Vila.

After the parade the costume ball takes place on C.Angel Vidal. Remember, dress to impress!

UPDATE: Sunday 12pm.

The preperations are well underway for today's parades. Right now, outside our door you can hear all shorts of music as the carnival floats make their way up Santiago Rusinol.
