Sauna Sitges is open throughout the Carnival Period, from the 19th to the 25th of February, from 4pm to 10pm and 2am to 9am… so no excuse not to party!

Thursday 19th February
7pm – Arrival of the Carnival King – La Fragata
Immediately afterwards, the king and his entourage make their way to Can Bota Park to choose the Carnival Queen. Via – Psg de la Ribera and Espanya
7.45pm – The choosing of the Carnival Queen
The king will continue to the Town Hall accpmpanied by Markatu Batucada and Timbasio.
His majest will adress the townspeople at the Town Hall and read the “Predicot”

Sunday 22nd February
9pm – “Disbauxa” Parade Défilé de la Disbauxa (Rua de la Disbauxa)
Cap de la Vila, Parellades, Bonaire, Passeig de la Ribera, Fragata,l’Avinguda Sofiaand return to carrer Espanya,Plaça Espanya, Espalter, Sant Francesc, Cap de la Vila.
Tuesday 24th February
9pm – “Extermination” Parade Défilé de l’Extermini (Rua de l’Extermini)

Wednesday 25th February
7pm – The Kings Funeral Procession

8.30pm – Burial of the King

Carnival is not for the faint of heart, its over 7 days of pure partying…
Three things to remember. First… bring plenty of costumes… Second… bring something warm (depending on the weather… this year its later, so hopefully the temperatures will be reasobnable). Third… bring your camera… to capture those all important shots … well we can’t be everywhere!
We’ve been asked a record number of questions regarding this years Carnival… so despite the crisis, it appears that people still intend to buck the trend and his Sitges once again for the party of the year… If you haven’t booked yet, there are still some rooms available. Loca Cola becomes the centre point of Sitges Carnival with some of the best costumes and the perfect venue to watch the parades pass by! Their 2 major parties are on Tuesday the 18th and Tuesday the 25th of February.

With Carnival just a few weeks away, make sure you get your very best costume together…. You don’t have to dress up, but the locals will put you to shame if you don’t! A huge amount of effort goes into each costume and this year’s theme is still a closely guarded secret… But as per usual, expect everything from Cowboys to Trannies at this event!
