Well, its that time of year again. Its Carnival Poster time in Sitges. Locacola are hosting their “Noche da las Turistas” on the 10th of February! Its a great night out..just remember to dress like a tourist.. a Carnival Tourist.

A reminder that some of the out-of-date print guides and larger international guides have the wrong dates for Carnival in 2010. Its has been causing a lot of confusion, especially with people booking apartments and hotels. The correct dates are the 11th to the 17th of February.

The weather continues fine in the mornings and afternoon in Sitges. This photo was taken on Friday, just on the afternoon. If you’re in Sitges this weekend, then check out Oreks, B-Side, XXL, Bourbons, Queenz Bar, El Horno, Privilege, El Candil, Bar Azul and Queenz Bar. Alll will be open for the weekend! They will return with a fresh new look for Carnival 2010, the 11th to the 17th of February, with the gay carnival starting one week earlier. (Note many printed guides and international event guides online have the wrong dates!).

Here’s a recap of some of the amazing costumes and atmosphere that took place on Tuesday, during Sitges Carnival Parade. Once again, we would like to say a huge thank you to all of our advertisers in Sitges for their help and support throughout the Carnival and to the organisers and participants of the events for their energy and enthusiasm and to the Sitges Press Office for their assistance throughout the event.
Yesterday saw the death of the King Of Carnival… and we can’t blame him! What a week!
The past 12 days of Carnival (both Gay And Straight) have been extremely successful and brought a smile to Sitges once again!

See you in 2010….when Carnival takes place from Thurs 11th Feb to Wed 17th Feb 2010 (Parades – Sunday 14th Feb – Tuesday 16th Feb) with the Gay Carnival kicking off on the Saturday 6th on the week before!
After the death of the King of Carnival, the widows made their way back to Locacola for a drink or two…and then headed to Ma Maison for the Noche de las Viduas…
The Night saw more than 32 contestants take part for the title of the best Widow for 2009.
