Beauties and the Bitch…. a weekend in Sitges in January.

Its January… the sales are over.. the weather is …well.. unseasonably warm… the evenings are getting a little longer.. (it is Spain after all)… and it appears that the nights are getting busier.

We're not sure why. But the cuites were out in force last night…. on their way to B-Side apparently. The streets were full of lovely young men in the mood for a party. If you are comming to Sitges this weekend or indeed anytime during January, weekend favourites include, Prinz, Comodin… after a brief sejourn, B-Side, Oreks and Privilege. XXL is also open at the weekends and don't forget happy hour at El Horno where you are sure to meet a friend or two. Trailer gets busy late.. and we mean post 3am late.

Relaxing for the evening after a few too many cocktails, Ryan and Ben, here from the US for the week… lost the poor things!

That's the beauty of Sitges. So many different people, nationalities and types… you are guaranteed to find something you might like! Yum. See you Saturday Night!

A number on your ass? …007

Last year, gay beach boys obsessed all about one number “06”… and no we're not talking about inches here. It was the AussieBum 2006 Collection. We have been informed that 2007 will be no different.. just watch the teaster video at the end of this post.

However, the big hit down under at the moment is the “wonderjock”… the undies that give you that little bit of lift! No padding… no tricks, apparently an Aussie friend of ours says they are ergonomically designed. We will let you be the judge of that… but we do think you will be seeing lots of “Property of …” jocks disappearing at the foam parties of Sitges this 2007…

With more than 44 different country domains visiting our site this past week alone… we just hope there are enough wonderjocks to go around!

Fight the flab – Gyms in Sitges

Now that the new year is upon us, many of you will be visiting Sitges with all those resolutions packed firmly in your designer luggage! But not to worry, one promise that you can keep to yourself is the one where you decide to get a new body. And no we're not talking about cruising the beaches… we're talking about going to the gym to tone up and get fit.

Believe us, you will be glad you did, as the boys are very very buff during the Summer in Sitges. Take Greg and friend from Holland last year who had many a boy swooning on the gay beach over the summer.

There are several Gyms in Sitges, the most well know being GSS. However there are others. Vital Fitness on Joan Salvat Papasseit, 38 is also popular. A really nice local gym is Gimnasio Vilata on Santiago Rusinol,Tlf: 938 943 555.

This is the view of Sitges main beaches as the sun sets on another extremely mild Winter's day. So you can imagine what it will be like during the summer! As the sun sets a beautiful orange glow covers the entire sky.

Sitges has a unique microclimate with over 300 days of sunshine every year. Sometimes Barcelona can be caught up in thunderstorms and clouds while gay boys and girls are getting an allover tan on the beautiful beaches of Sitges.

So whatever time you visit us, you're sure to be in for some great weather. It doesn't matter what the season, your're guaranteed it will be better than most of Western Europe of the US anytime!

Tap Dogs – Barcelona

If you are in Sitges this week and fancy a bit of a cultural break with a difference, then head into Barcelona and take in the Tap Dogs Show. From tomorrow (Jan 9th) to Jan 13th the show takes place in the Teatre Tivoli , C/ Casp 8 in the Eixample district.

Six strapping aussies in jeans, blundstone boots and onstage percussionists provide one of the most energetic 90 minutes of stage show action that you are ever likely to see!

Three Kings Parade, Sitges – Review

The sun sets on another beautiful winter's day in Sitges…as the town begins to prepare for the arrival of the Three Kings for Los Reyes de Magos, Epiphany or Three Kings “Tres Magi” Day. The Photo Gallery is now online.

The lights were dimmed all accross Sitges so that people could greet the arrival of the Three Kings to the backdrop of a spectacular lighting display placed on Santa Tecla Church.

The band played some surreal music as the light show continued.

Only in Sitges would the church go so Pink!

Lucrecia was our host for the evening. She is a famous Cuban Style singer and is a major star on Spanish Television.

The Three Kings are even bigger than Santa Claus over here.

Children queue up for hours to give their letters to their favourite King to ask for their present of choice.

The Kings arrived in spectacular fashion. You know the sweeping staircase from the Church to La Fragata? Well it became a stairs of fire as the Kings made their way onstage.

As the kings arrived the light-show continued and the fireworks exploded over our heads!

The horse riding through the streets was stunning. Sweets were thrown from huge bags as children clambered around the streets with big bags of treasure!

Even the Kings themselves got into the act. Being pelted with sweeties whilst trying to take photos amongst a mad crowd was definitely an expereince worth repeating. The sweets were lovely by the way!

There simply is no better way to start the New Year than with this wonderful celebration that continues into the weekend! See you at the parties boys!

Flamenco Night – Privilege

On the Eve of the Three Kings Festive Weekend, Privilege held a fantastic Flamenco Music Night. The band were absolutely brilliant, the crowd were great fun and the party.. well, they party as only Catalans can… with great style and fun!
