Now in its third year, Sitges Pride has become one of the most popular Summer beach prides in Europe attracting over 60,000 visitors over 5 days of parades and parties.

This year’s event will take place from Thursday the 5th of July through to Monday the 9th of July. The main parade kicks off on the Saturday afternoon, featuring more than 25 spectacular floats. Hundreds of muscle boys, go go’s drag queens and entertainers will take part adding to the carnival atmosphere.

The Mediterranean Sea will provide the backdrop for 5 days of free open air concerts. International tribute acts to Kylie, Queen, Tina Turner, Lady Ga Ga and more are planned. The promoters are also working with some big name stars for the Saturday evening spectacular in the gay village. “Splash”, the afternoon pool party on Monday will also make a welcome return.

The entire village of Sitges will go completely White on the Friday night to celebrate “The White Night” with special parties planned in all of the clubs and bars in the town. The raunchier “Black Knights” leather and fetish party is on the Sunday.

ES Collection will host a fashion show spectacular featuring more than 25 of Spain’s top male models. The popular Mr Gay and Miss Drag Queen Sitges competitions will take place on stage in the Gay Village.

The festivities finish on Monday night with a closing finale party in the main Village and a series of special after parties in some of Sitges legendary clubs including Trailer and L’Atlantida.

Friday night during Pride and the whole town was in White!

Yes, as the party ended in the Paseo, people made their way through the village to the bars and clubs, dressed in a sea of white…

The main parties took place at Route 66 and El Prado…

The parties were packed with hot guys from around the world…

It is definitely the calm before the storm here in Sitges as the Mayor attended the official press conference and opening of Sitges Pride 2011.

The event was attended by a host of VIP’s, local Sitges business people and an array of the world’s press here to cover the event.

Hotels are completely booked out so your options are now limited to Barcelona and come visit us daily for a fantastic line up of shows and parties kicking off on Friday with Madonallicious live on stage in the Paseo.

The dates for the second Gay Sitges Pride have been announced. The event will take place from the 8th to the 12th of July.

The event, which attracted more than 60,000 people over the weekend this year, will be even bigger and more spectacular in 2011. The main parade will take place on Saturday the 9th of July.

The Gay Village will also return. The Village will be open for the entire 5 days of the event for 2011 along with the stage shows. Also, the bars in the village will be open for extended hours during the weekend.

Sunday night Jose Galisteo performed all of his hits live on the promenade.

The atmosphere was amazing as Spain had just won the world cup!

The entire town of Sitges gathered with local visitors to celebrate both the victory and the pride…. young, old, gay and straight all together having fun and dancing until 3am.

It was a perfect end to the Party on the Promenade.

Galisteo sang a range of songs from famous Spanish numbers to his international hits.

Aftewards the crowds danced to the disco beats, mixed by L’Atlantida supremo, Hector Noms.

A special thank you to all of the volunteers who worked the bar area. At times the queues were long, but everyone was served with a smile…

Saturday night during Pride and the Party in the Park took place at the Terramar Gardens.

Decadanse, the Party in the park attracted nearly 2,000 partygoers on Saturday night, with more than 1,200 on Friday night.

The Park, just 10 minutes from the centre of Sitges was transformed into a gay wonderland.

With a huge dancefloor and stage area including a live performance by the Gaydar boys and singers, it was the perfect place for those who like to party ’till 6am.

The other attractions were the foam in the fountain and the forest… yes the forest was unbelievably popular…

Decadanse will return to Sitges Pride in 2011..

The party attracted people from all around the world.

It was a great end to a Saturday which saw almost 40,000 people on the streets of Sitges for the Parade earlier on that afternoon.

Reports from hotels, shops and restaurants show that the weekend has been a huge success both from a visitor perspective and for businesses, introducing Sitges to a brand new group of customers.

Nearly 30 percent of tickets sold at the ticket office were to people who had never before been to Sitges. And all of them had one thing to say, “We will be back and next time, for even longer”

Angie Brown wowed the crowds in Sitges on Friday night, not once, but twice as she came down to the village early for a sound check.

Angie sang a range of songs from her repertoire including the specially commissioned Pride Anthem, “The Word Is Out” which can be purchased online on the official Pride Website.

The hosts of the Pride, the stunning ladies from El Candil really stole the show at Sitges first Pride.

They kept the crowds entertained with their unique sense of humour every night in between acts.

They also worked tirelessly in very hot weather with some amazing costume changes..

The Village was the life and soul of the Pride with more than 60,000 visitors passing through Sitges on Saturday and Sunday evening.

With bars, a huge music stage and an amazing line-up of acts, it was the perfect backdrop for Sitges pride by the Mediterranean Sea.
