After much delibaration and ensuring no conflicts with either Barcelona or Madrid Pride, the 2012 dates for Sitges Pride have been announced. The event will take place from the Thursday the 5th of July to Monday the 9th of July.

The main parade will take place on Saturday the 7th of July. The Gay Village will once again form the backdrop of the 5 day’s of parties. Expect an even bigger line up of live acts and entertainment, more events, the return of an even bigger pool party and of course the Party in the Park…not to mention all of the events taking place in the gay bars, clubs and restaurants of the village.

Last year hotels were at 100% capacity so we would advise you to book your hotel now with us for the lowest rate guaranteed!

Seafront Apartments are always the first to become booked out in Sitges, so if you want a view of the parade, don’t delay and book now!

Several thousand bears and their admirers descended upon Sitges this September. The annual September Bears Week has now become one of the best attended events of its kind in Europe. The dates for 2012 have been confirmed. The 9 day event will take place from the 3rd to the 11th of September.

There are some great events taking place in Sitges during 2012… but one of the best and most amazing events has to be the annual Sitges Carnival. Although it takes place during the Winter Season, the Village takes on a life more akin to August or Pride! The Sitges Carnival 2012 takes place from Feb 16th to Feb 22nd.

The very popular Bears Week, Spring Edition dates have been confirmed. The event will take place from the 26th of April to the 1st of May and marks the traditional start of the Sitges Season. This year it will be joined by the Gay Spring Break Festival, so it will be quite a mixture of guys in Sitges!

Don’t forget, tonight is the official Autumn closing party at Ruby’s Terrace and Bar. Ruby will be hosting a special goodbye (“thanks for commin”) party that is sure to be a spectacular affair.

Today, Sauna Sitges opens its doors from 4pm and will remain open until 8am the following day. Its a fitting wet tribute to the man that sailed so many seas, St.Colombus and Spain’s National Day tomorrow, Oct 12th. So its sort of like a mini-long weekend here! Together with all the film festival groupies, its set to be a busy night.

The Jack Daniel’s SITGES Zombie Walk 2011 will be held on October 14th, beginning at 20:30h at the Miramar Building (*), with the participation of the stars of the movie Juan de los Muertos for the starting signal, and will travel around Sitges until finishing at the Passeig de la Ribera promenade. Check out the rather humorous Video for the event below.

Following the Zombie Walk there will be a free party on the beach (starting at 22:00 on the Passeig de la Ribera promenade) with performances by Los Tiki Phantoms, presented by the FIB (Benicássim International Festival) and DJ Niño (The Pinker Tones). The party will continue on 2 de Mayo Street, with the participation of the local bars and clubs and Jack Daniel’s.

And for the bigger film lovers, a new La Noche + Zombie Marathon at the Retiro Cinema starting at 1:00 at night with titles like DeadHeads, World of the Dead: The Zombie Diaries or Exit Humanity, among others.

* Starting at 12:00 noon there will be a free make-up zone set up in the Miramar Building (limited seats).

This weekend, Sitges celebrates the 50th Annual Wine Harvest Festival. The event, which has been expanded over the past 5 years, now includes a wine-tasting and gourmet food village on the Seafront. The event kicks off on Friday the 16th of August and finishes on Sunday with the “Wine Barrel Race” and the “Trashing of the Grapes”.
