Sitges is to get a new 4 Star Grand Deluxe hotel with rooftop pool and spa. Locate on Av.Sofia, on the same street as the hotel Calipolis, the designs are impressive. The Avenida Sofia Hotel & Spa will open in late 2011.

Hotel bookings are considerably up on last year according to the tourism association and we are seeing record bookings for Summer 2011, especially for Carnival and Pride.

We saw a record number of bookings over the past few days for next July after the Pride dates were announced so it looks like it is going to be an even busier event than last year.

We’ve received several questions over the last few days relating to L’Atlantida. They always come up this time of year, with people wondering will this be the year the club closes for good! Well, like similar other stories in Sitges, its just another rumors.

L’Atlantida is currently undergoing a multi-million makeover that will see it transformed into one of the leading outdoor clubs in Europe. No expense has been spared. The location of the venue always gave it that special something, but now the building will be just as special.

We will keep you updated with their progress, but expect some spectacular beach parties and don’t forget the Sunday Circuit Pre Party during Gay Sitges Pride this year!
