Now in its third year, Sitges Pride has become one of the most popular Summer beach prides in Europe attracting over 60,000 visitors over 5 days of parades and parties.
This year’s event will take place from Thursday the 5th of July through to Monday the 9th of July. The main parade kicks off on the Saturday afternoon, featuring more than 25 spectacular floats. Hundreds of muscle boys, go go’s drag queens and entertainers will take part adding to the carnival atmosphere.
The Mediterranean Sea will provide the backdrop for 5 days of free open air concerts. International tribute acts to Kylie, Queen, Tina Turner, Lady Ga Ga and more are planned. The promoters are also working with some big name stars for the Saturday evening spectacular in the gay village. “Splash”, the afternoon pool party on Monday will also make a welcome return.
The entire village of Sitges will go completely White on the Friday night to celebrate “The White Night” with special parties planned in all of the clubs and bars in the town. The raunchier “Black Knights” leather and fetish party is on the Sunday.
ES Collection will host a fashion show spectacular featuring more than 25 of Spain’s top male models. The popular Mr Gay and Miss Drag Queen Sitges competitions will take place on stage in the Gay Village.
The festivities finish on Monday night with a closing finale party in the main Village and a series of special after parties in some of Sitges legendary clubs including Trailer and L’Atlantida.

Sitges is worth a visit any time of the year, however we are often asked about some of the main events. Based on initial inquiries and bookings it looks like 2012 is going to be an even busier year than 2011, so get booking!
If you are visiting Sitges for New Year’s Eve, you may go for the dinner route..or just party the night away. Either way, make sure you book early. SoCA, L’Angle at Parrots Restaurant and Ma Maison are offering special menu’s for New Year’s Eve. Check out the restaurants postings for more details.
Of course you may want to spend it drinking the night away. Have an early one at El Horno, enjoy Canapes at La Villa all night long, stop into one of Sitges longest running bars, Azul, or party the night away in Prinz, Queenz or El Candil.

The Isabel Apartment

The guest needs to walk approximately ten minutes to the centre of Sitges and two minutes to the beach, so there is no need for a car while staying at the apartment…. also for the convenience of the guest there are bars, cafes etc. in short walking distance.
The “Laury” apartment is located on one of the most important plazas in Sitges, called “Plaza España”. It takes about a 1 min walk to the main beaches in Sitges.. . This apartment has all the local amenities on the same street and the surrounding blocks.. with plenty of restaurants, cafes, pizzerias, supermarkets, chemists, gym, etc….. although this great apartment is literally in the centre of Sitges it is a very calm spot…

Many of the bars are still open for the December festivities and are open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. New Year’s Eve is celebrated in Restaurants with people heading to Bars after 12.30, however some bars will be hosting parties, details of which we will have over the coming weeks.

You would think that in-between the Film Festival and the Zombie walk that Sitges has been celebrating Halloween since early October. Now that it’s almost actually upon us, if you are spending the weekend in Sitges, then here are the bars that you may want to consider visiting! Remember dress to Impress.

It will be the final weekend for Bears Bar this Season. The bar will reopen in February for Carnival.

Several thousand bears and their admirers descended upon Sitges this September. The annual September Bears Week has now become one of the best attended events of its kind in Europe. The dates for 2012 have been confirmed. The 9 day event will take place from the 3rd to the 11th of September.
There are some great events taking place in Sitges during 2012… but one of the best and most amazing events has to be the annual Sitges Carnival. Although it takes place during the Winter Season, the Village takes on a life more akin to August or Pride! The Sitges Carnival 2012 takes place from Feb 16th to Feb 22nd.
