The Barcelona Circuit Festival has announced their preliminary line up for August. As expected they are kicking off the event with a specular opening party. This year will also feature a SUPERMARTXÉ@CIRCUIT FESTIVAL, the Water Park on Tue 3rd of August and the incredible closing beach day of La Leche in Sitges at L’Atlantida.

Sunday Night and we finished Easter at the VIP Bar at La Leche, Matinee Group’s Sunday night Easter Extravaganza.

Almost 5,000 people packed the Anexo del Palau Sant Jordi for a spectacular show…

A mixed event… the show was spectacular…the dancers amazing and the atmosphere electric… Barcelona boys and girls certainly know how to party!

And remember the Circuit Festival in August sees La Lecche come to L’Atlantida for the closing party..

Improv Everywhere has launched a global call to action “No pants! Subway Ride”. On Sunday 10 January at 16.00h, those who would like to take part in the event should meet at the entrance of Marina (L1).

The aim is to provoke fun and laughter..not to shock anyone.. so you have to wear some sort of underwear (advice is be practical..there will be lots of Cameras). Check out the video of last year’s event in NYC.

Who could forget the amazing Barcelona Pride of 2009. Well, the dates for the 2010 Pride Parade have been announced in advance to allow everyone time to get their travel plans in order and their hotels and apartments booked.

The official dates for the Pride Festival are 18th to the 28th of June with the Parade taking place on the last day, Sunday the 28th of June at 6pm. It is definitely the highlight in the Gay Calendar of Barcelona and a party we highly recommend!

The Barcelona Circuit Festival returns to Sitges in 2010! Its one amazing week of parties and pleasure, not to be missed! The 2009 party firmly established itself as one of the leading gay events in the world and 2010 is expected to top the record 50,000 party revelers of 2009.

The annual Barcelona Gran Ball takes place at the end of November on the 27th. It is the highlight in the gay social calendar and also supports various local gay organisations.

Continuing on from yesterday’s inbox requests.. it appears there is huge appetite for the Circuit Festival after this year’s record 50,000 attendance numbers and EUR 75 million spend in Barcelona and Sitges during the 8 day spectacular event.

We’ll we’re waiting on confirmation of the dates for the 2010 event. As soon as we have them, we will let you know, but we think its safe to say that it will be along the lines of last year’s first week in August. Stay tuned to us on twitter for the latest updates as we get them.

It appears that everyone is in Holiday Planning Mode for 2010. After looking at our stats for tours for 2009, Port Aventura definitely comes out on top! Its an amazing park with amazing water rides and shows and its a great way to spend the day with a group of friends. Be warned though… bring lots of sunscreen!

The park has plenty of spine-tingling rides and other attractions, such as the Temple del Foc (Temple of Fire) and Hurakan Condor (at 100 meters, one of the highest amusement park rides in Europe). The park is spread across themed areas ranging from the Wild West to Polynesia.

Second on our top 5, is the day trip to Sitges and Monserrat. This is one of the most popular trips for visitors from our Barcelona Guide who want to see what Sitges is like and to take in the Torres Vineyard and the spectacular views at Monserrat. Finally, most of the tours leave from Barcelona. Many people who visit tend to combine the city with Sitges in some form or other. Our advice is to use Sitges as your main base and take the train to Barcelona and if you do want to stay over, book a night or two in one of the many hotels in the city.
