For those of you who have been to Sitges this year, you can’t help but have noticed the work that was going on in the Old Market opposite the train station. Well its now finished.
Mercadona, one of Spain’s largest supermarkets has opened. And whilst this may not be the most exciting news in the world… if you’re in a self-catering apartment next Summer then you will be glad of the choice and range of foods on offer. Happy Shopping.

Gay Sitges Guide has been receiving several emails recently regarding the dates for Sitges Carnival…. some of the major print guides have the 2008 dates listed for 2009, so make sure you have the correct dates if you are planning to visit us next year. The gay carnival, as always kicks off the week before the main carnival. And the main parades take place on Sunday 22nd and Tuesday 24th of February.

If you are in Barcelona at the end of November, try and make it to the Gran Ball 2008. This annual event, which takes place in the Lotus Theatre is a spectacular production featuring some of the hottest acts in Spain together with local DJs, artists and perfrormers.
