Sitges is full of surprises. Get up early and you will see some of the most amazing guys working out on the beach… running, swimming or even playing voleyball.

From about 8am people start heading to the beach. Its a beautiful time of the day and you can sometimes meet people still on their way home from one of the late after bars in either Sitges or Barcelona.

If you are an early riser, we recommend a run right through Sitges, via the main promenade.

At first we though it was a new theme night in one of the bars… but then we learned that it was a 21′st Birthday… well almost. Happy Birthday to Nick who was in Sitges with a group of other cowboys for the weekend.

Brokeback mountain here we come… there’s something about a man in a Stetson.

Then it was off to XXL to meet some old and new faces… the place was jam packed!

Brazilian, Italian and English.. a nice mix!

Hiding in the corners, these guys insisted on “No Flash”….

Ariana, the queen of XXL last night… they don’t get many ladies in the bar, but they do keep them downstairs!

After a break of more than a Year, we can report that B-Side will be kicking off a fresh season of Underwear parties for the Summer Season. Exepct lots of hot action every Monday and Wednesday nights…. Opening Dates comming shortly.

In the meantime you can still enjoy the company of barman, Neil, photoed above last night…right before all the lights went out in Sitges… The town was like one big darkroom!

Two dates for you to remember! First, Privilege on C.Bonaire is having the Summer Kick Off Party this Saturday, June 2nd 2007. Privilege was hopping last year with hot boys and great music, so we expect a repeat performance this Summer.

Second, Sunday, June 2nd sees the return of Lady Diamond at Prinz. A spectacular show is expected so be there early to grab your space… remember you might be asked to participate, so don’t be shy!

We’ve seem quite a few boys looking very red this week… so don’t look like a Spanish Gamba! Here are 5 indispensable tips for suncare this summer:

1. To find out how long your sunscreen will last, multiply the time it takes you to burn (with no protection at all) by the product’s SPF to equal the amount of minutes’ protection you’ll get. As a rough guide, it takes a really fair guy about 3-4 minutes to burn whereas a guy with olive or Mediterranean skin can take up to 10 minutes.

2. Don’t wait until you’ve found your spot on the beach before you slap on the sunscreen. Always apply your sunscreen at least half an hour before you go outside – it has to react with your skin in order for it to work.

3. Remember to reapply. Chances are you’ll be swimming or sweating when out in the sunshine, so be sure to top up regularly as a lot of creams will slide off your skin.

4. Take breaks. Don’t fry yourself from dawn till dusk. Go look for some shade every hour or so. And a drink.

5. An aftersun is just as essential as a sunscreen. Not only will it help repair damage caused by UV exposure but it will calm any irritated skin and redness. Some aftersuns will even prolong your tan.

Its great that Sitges is so busy, even on a Monday. What’s not great is having to get up to work in the morning, when all you boys can stay in bed!
