When you’ve been in Sitges a while, its easy to become accustomed to the beautiful sights all around you. The next time you are walking on the promenade be sure to pay close attention to the edge of the walkway and look out for some beautiful sand sculptures.

Make sure if you take a photograph to reward the people who have put all of the effort into these creations.

The Homer Simpson creations are especially popular.

The best sand sculptures can usually be seen at the weekend close to the edge of La Fragata Beach. As the Summer season approaches, the sculptures take on even more spectacular guises! Gay Sitges Guide will keep an eye out for you and show you some of the best later on this year.

The Sitges Car Rally 2007 took place this weekend amidst beautiful weather.

The cars looked amazing as they made their way around Sitges to the final viewing point at La Fragata Beach.

The 1920′s costumes were so authentic and added to the festive flair of the evening.

There were Model-T Fords, Convertibles, Chryslers.. you name it… they were there!

Sitges is a very safe place to live and visit. Yes, like everywhere else, there are always incidents involving tourists. However the town has recently decided to install a series of street cameras that will monitor activities on a 24 hour basis. Why they didn’t do this sooner, we don’t know, but its a welcome development.

If you are in Barcelona tomorrow, expect to see several Vintage Cars making there way to Plaça Sant Jaume. Although the rally doesn’t kick off until late Saturday, already there are many Vintage cars making there way up and down Las Ramblas in Barcelona.
